Graduate Student Director/RROC Representative
The Graduate Student Director will have oversight of GAAAP which includes communication with GAAAP staff, overseeing GAAAP budget and proposal request, and compiling an end of year report. They will also help plan and facilitate the SRRC staff training as well as attend training for all student directors.
In addition, they will serve as a liaison between the SRRC and various campus committees/organizations that address graduate student needs which includes, but is not limited to Graduate Studies. They will work on assessing the needs of underrepresented graduate students and support various graduate retention initiatives.

GAAAP Student Director may be required to facilitate programming related to graduate student retention as needed (examples include and are not limited to: Annual Writing Retreat, Writing Across the Curriculum Writing Retreats, Quarterly Graduate Students of Color Mixers).
GAAAP Student Director will have the tasks of:
Staff Development

Providing holistic support, supervision and programmatic guidance for all GAAAP coordinators.

Facilitating one-on-ones with coordinators.

Facilitating GAAAP staff meetings.
Program Assessment

Reviewing GAAAP proposals to ensure the accuracy of funding requests and alignment with SRRC values.

Evaluating projects and progress.

Evaluating staff (360 evaluations).
Management (Staff cohesion and sustainability)

Assisting in the planning and organization of various GAAAP events/activities.

Attending Student Director meetings to discuss various SRRC topics.

Attending weekly meetings with SRRC Career Staff.

Developing and implementing quarterly staff retreats, including a transition retreat.

Assisting GAAAP staff as needed.

Serving as an active core member of the Graduate Ally Coalition.
The Recruitment and Retention Organizing Committee (RROC) is the decision-making body of the Student Recruitment & Retention Center. As a RROC representative, the Student Director forms part of this governing board and holds voting privileges. RROC has oversight for all SRRC finances, SRRC operations and recruitment/retention initiatives. Furthermore, RROC provides advocacy surrounding issues of educational equity.
A RROC representative will be responsible for:

Promoting transparency between RROC and the SRRC staff.

Attending weekly RROC Board meetings to represent the Graduate Student of Color community.

Providing the graduate student community with updates from the RROC Board.

Allocating funding to support SRRC Initiatives.

Planning monthly staff in-service.

Maintaining and promoting a welcoming, inclusive environment for the overall SRRC.

Creating awareness to the general public of issues pertaining to your respective community.

Graduate Student Retention Coordinator
The Graduate Student Retention Coordinator aims to empower and retain graduate students from historically underrepresented, educationally disadvantaged, and low-income communities that have been affected by Prop 209.
The Graduate Student Retention Coordinator will be responsible for developing and coordinating retention programs and strategies in the following areas:
- Academic Excellence: Supporting the research and writing of fellow graduate students by hosting writing spaces, including the annual weekend Writing Retreat; working with Graduate Studies, organizations, and departments to address any issues that may be impacting the academic success of students within the community
- Leadership Development: sharing leadership opportunities and resources within the community
- Mentorship: Facilitating space for graduate students to connect with undergraduate students by collaborating with the MENTOR Coordinator and Pathway to Graduate School Coordinator; sharing resources for graduate students to find mentors with faculty and staff on campus
- Life After College Success: sharing resources for post-graduate school success; maintaining and updating the Post-Graduate School Toolkit
- Cultural Identity, Gender & Sexuality: Organizing facilitated dialogues about multiple, intersectional identities, and how those issues are related to educational equity
- Community Development: Hosting quarterly Graduate Student of Color Mixers and Potlucks, and co-coordinating the annual Graduate Community Celebration with the Graduate Ally Coalition
- Health & Wellness: Promoting the wellbeing of both physical and mental health, sharing health & wellness resources

Pathway to Graduate School Coordinator
The Pathway to Graduate School Coordinator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing programs and workshops about graduate and professional school that are aimed at undergraduate students from historically underrepresented, educationally disadvantaged, and low-income communities that have been affected by Prop 209.
The Pathway to Graduate School Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Working closely with the GAAAP Student Director and Community Advisor for Retention to:
- Establish partnerships with community programs
- Establish partnerships with campus departments and graduate programs
- Seek support and resources
- Reviewing and editing the Pathway to Graduate School Toolkit with the GAAAP Student Director
- Creating and sustaining positive working relationships with graduate schools, professional schools, undergraduate resource departments, faculty, staff, and organizations on campus
- Developing, coordinating, implementing, and facilitating Pathway to Graduate School (PTGS) events in partnership with SRRC Community Programs and/or UC Davis departments
- Developing & coordinating professional development seminars in areas of research, personal statements for graduate school, resumes/CV, etc.
Additionally, the Pathway to Graduate School Coordinator will:
- Oversee the MENTOR (Mentor, Empower, Navigate, Teach, Orient, Retain) Program which includes, but is not limited to:
- Creating and updating guidelines for the program and applications
- Developing workshops for mentors/mentees’ personal and academic success
- Providing guidance to mentors & mentees to ensure that both are having an enriching experience
- Serve as a core member of the SRRC’s Retention Committee
- Note: This position is for currently enrolled UCD undergraduate student applicants.
Administrative Coordinator
The Administrative Coordinator supports and helps build cohesion and unity within the volunteers, interns, coordinators, the SRRC, and the greater student community at UC Davis.
The Administrative Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Program and event logistics such as room reservations, etc.
- Supporting purchase requests and submission of final expense reports
- Sending weekly newsletters to community members
- Overseeing and updating all social media accounts (e.g. Facebook, Instagram) to promote events, generate publicity, and maintain the program's consistent presence over all forums
- Organizing and implementing the Volunteer/Internship Program
- Developing & coordinating Community Empowerment programs for the student community
- Coordinate professional development workshops with GAAAP staff
- Serving as a core member of the Administrative Committee
- Note: This position is for currently enrolled undergraduate student applicants.
All staff will be responsible for:

Attending SRRC Spring Class and SRRC Summer Formation.

Attending quarterly GAAAP Staff Retreats.

Attending weekly staff meetings, weekly or bi-weekly one-on-ones with your student director AND the Community Advisor, SRRC In Service, and any meeting depending on your position.

Creating a budget and proposal for each activity/event or strategy.
-
Ensuring that activities/events are catered to serve historically underrepresented, educationally disadvantaged, and low-income undergraduate students interested in graduate school, or graduate students.

Evaluating respective programs on a regular basis and gathering feedback from participants.
-
Representing GAAAP and the SRRC professionally, as well as being able to articulate the mission and goals of both GAAAP and the SRRC to staff, faculty, students, and other audiences.

Advocating and upholding the values of GAAAP and the SRRC throughout all programs.
-
Coordinating intern and volunteer projects in order to provide them with a valuable experience.
-
Maintaining a 2.5 cumulative GPA and full-time student status.
-
Supporting major community events.
-
Maintaining consistent communication/correspondence with partners/collaborators as it pertains to programming efforts.

Logistical task management such as scheduling meetings, reserving campus venues and vehicles, and keeping track of your respective budget throughout the year.

Submitting Purchase Requests and reconciling expenses.

Assisting GAAAP Staff as needed.
